My name is Jon and I teach in the Kent School District at Crestwood Elementary. I have taught numerous positions over the years from Guest Teacher to a full-time elementary Computer Specialist.

I like ferrets! It all started on a routine trip to the pet store for crickets for our firebelly toads. The store was having several give away drawings so I signed up. That evening I received a call telling me I was the proud owner of a male ferret!

Unfortunately our new pet died in two weeks. The Vet determined that he had a fatty liver caused by years of eating the wrong things, but was just too weak to survive by the time it was diagnosed. Part of our problem was we just didn't know about ferret care. The pet store did take some responsibility and give us a new ferret whom we love dearly. His name is Taz. Sierra came along soon after but this time we purchased her from a breeder.
