Dear Parents of UW Middle School Academy, Summer 2004

Students in the Desktop Publishing class are working hard and having fun making their electronic magazines using Microsoft Word. We would like to give each the opportunity to publish their pages on the World Wide Web. This step is completely optional. Their electronic magazine does not need to be published online. Tripod (www.tripod.lycos.com) will host websites for free. Student work can be posted online for them or they can upload it themselves.We would like your permission to create an account for your son/daughter. In order to create a web account, an email address is required so Tripod can send the password. They could use your email, or we can create a free email account from Microsoft’s Hotmail. (www.hotmail.com)

Please fill out and return the form below. We have advised students against using copyrighted material, their picture, last name, or any identifying personal information on their web pages.
